POLLINATOR PROGRAM

BEE THE CHANGE!

You. Us. Everyone on the planet depends on pollinators to survive… And it’s no secret that bee populations are plummeting, but did you know that five of the top ten honey-producing states are in the Midwest? That’s why we feel it’s our responsibility and honor to deploy our incredible working dogs to help save honey bees.

Please join us and BEE the Change as we launch our NEW MCDI Pollinator Program!

THE SNIFF THAT SAVES

Our MCDI Pollinator Program protects local honey bees by providing boots-on-the-ground, canine scent-detection surveys to honey bee keepers;

identifying colonies struggling with pests and diseases such as American Foulbrood (AFB) and Varroa mites.

Next to chemical poisoning, pests and diseases like AFB and mites are the most devastating threats on honey bee populations. Our teams can serve as the first line of defense for apiary inspections and research, reducing the spread of hive diseases and help beekeepers maintain thriving bee populations.

EVERY DOLLAR HELPS!
We're raising $20K, which allows us to support research, help beekeepers, and lend a hand (and nose!) in keeping 20K+ hives healthy!
BUZZ INTO ACTION!

If there’s one amazing thing bees have proven, it’s that little things can make a BIG difference! You can make a difference too, in both large and small ways by helping us raise funds and execute the MCDI Pollinator Program.

OUR SNIFF-ER-IFFIC BENEFIT

Canine apiary inspections survey hives without disturbing them compared to other methods of inspection, reducing stress on the hives. Healthier, less stressed hives produce a healthier bee population to survive the winter and into the next year.

FACTS ABOUT POLLINATORS
Honey bees must gather nectar from two million flowers to make one pound of honey.

Honey bees are just one kind of pollinating species. Scent detection canines can help other native pollinators like bumble bees, bats, and butterflies. If you work with other pollinators, we want to serve you, too! Please submit a request below!
