Professional detection dogs are unparalleled research partners in the field. They consistently and efficiently provide research-quality data with minimal ecological impact.

If it’s smellable, these dogs can find it. They’ll ID plants and animals at multiple life stages, on land or in water, give you the power to map habitats of endangered or invasive species and help track migration patterns.

Our dogs partner with researchers, conservation groups, universities, public health agencies and private industries. Midwest Conservation Dogs will work with you to develop project objectives and protocols.

We—dog and handler—deploy into the field alongside you. And for organizations truly committed to longitudinal work, we develop scent work programs and train resident dog/handler teams.

Our focus is on providing services in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Michigan, but we are always willing to discuss projects outside these areas.

Contact us to learn innovative ways we can work with the partners who’ve been by our sides for more than 10,000 years.
